My initial delivery was cancelled at the last second. Suggested companies are based on people’s browsing tendencies. I needed a redecoration of a 4 bed domestic property and they arranged for a national, primarily large contracting company to quote.

John Lewis could not replace for more than 2 months as sold out if stock in Black Friday. Engineer called after 2 days to “Book” The repair and could not come for 3 weeks. I contacted John Lewis , they told me they couldn’t do anything I needed to contact Royal mail.
The majority of dressmaking and home sewing can be done with one or two types of stitches. Machines that come with 100+ stitches can be needlessly intimidating for beginners, so it’s great to see John Lewis and Janome cut back to the bare essentials for the JL110. Overall, this sewing machine is sturdy, beautifully designed and easy to use. It’s a brilliant choice for anyone who wants to take up sewing as a hobby.

He did not turn up and did not respond to my calls or voicemail message. Sent email to JL solutions support, who replied that he would turn up. JL reputation rapidly going down the drain. Fix this problem, as I can see there are quite a few bad reviews! Obviously no checks and balances in place to ensure a proper service!! It will see you through your first few years of sewing and it’s great to have on hand as a back-up machine if you decide to upgrade in the future.

The JL110 is a simple, affordable machine without any of the confusing extras that can slow down a beginner’s sewing journey. As a beginner, you’re likely to be working with easy-to-manoeuvre fabrics and even more advanced sewists often steer away from chiffons and bulkier fabrics. If you want to learn to sew cushions, quilt tops, or light-medium weight garments then this is a great machine. However, if your sole aim is to turn up your heavy velvet curtains, make a winter coat, or alter your delicate wedding dress, this isn’t the machine for you. Sewing over bulky denim seams is a bit of a struggle and can lead to some skipped stitches.

Eventually, Royal Mail sent them back to John Lewis because they hadn’t got the right details on the parcel. I then had to wait 5 days for a full refund. Not even a good will voucher from John Lewis.
